Women's Conference 2016
The East Midlands Labour Party is delighted to announce that our 2016 Women’s Conference will be taking place on Saturday 2nd July in Northamptonshire.
This one day event will bring together members and politicians from across the region to discuss issues affecting women, share ideas on best practice and campaigning, hear from high profile speakers and work together on getting Labour’s message out to women across the region, whilst ensuring we have a tangible plan to increase involvement of more women in politics.
During the day we will have a number of excellent speakers from across the Labour movement, including:
- Kate Green, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities
- Owen Smith, Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions
- Glenis Willmott, MEP
- And many others
As well as the opportunity for members to chat to our guest speakers throughout the day, the conference is a great opportunity to meet and network with other women members from across the region, and also to discuss and feed in to the Women’s Development Board plan.
