Angela Eagle MP and Chair of the National Policy Forum would like to invite you for a conversation about how we can reform Labour’s policy development process, to help inform her review of how we make policy as a party.
Jeremy Corbyn and Tom Watson were elected on a promise to deliver a new kind of politics. One part of that project is to look at our policy-making process – to open it up to more people, to harness the skills and abilities of our members, and allow everyone to play a full role in deciding the direction we will take together.
As the Chair of Labour’s National Policy Forum, Angela is leading this review of our policy-making process and wants to hear from members and supporters about what works well at present, what doesn’t work so well, and how best we can reform our systems.
Developing a winning policy platform means reaching out to engage as many people as possible. It requires a policy-making process which is inclusive, open and democratic. So we will be looking at ways to strengthen the role of members and CLPs in shaping policy, as well as how we engage people outside the party in policy discussion.
We hope you can join us to share your ideas.
