Lucy Rigby, Labour’s prospective candidate for Lincoln, said this year’s Small Business Saturday was the ‘best yet’ and perfectly timed for Lincoln’s famous Christmas Market.

Lucy was joined in the City by one of Labour’s top team, Caroline Flint the Shadow Energy Secretary, to support local small businesses by shopping at Imperial Teas and Goodies Sweets at the Christmas Market before coffee and cakes at Henry’s Tea Room.

Lucy Rigby, Labour’s PPC for Lincoln said: “Small Business Saturday has cross-party support and is now really taking off in the UK. This year it was the best yet and of course coincided with Lincoln’s brilliant Christmas Market.

"It’s fantastic to have a day in the year when we are all encouraged to shop locally and support our small businesses. One of the great things about living here in Lincoln is our fantastic range of small and unique businesses.”

Caroline also joined Lucy on the campaign trail, speaking to local residents in Birchwood about their issues and concerns ahead of next year’s general election.
