General Election Campaign picks up pace in Amber Valley with Labour campaign office opening

With three months to go until the general election, the campaign in Amber Valley is picking up the pace this week with the official opening of the Labour Party campaign office.

Over 30 local members and supporters were joined by Labour’s candidate for Amber Valley, Kevin Gillott, and Labour’s General Secretary, Iain McNicol, for the official opening of the office today.

Speaking at the opening Kevin said: “It’s very important to me that local people are able to get in touch with me through as many ways as possible. That’s why I am delighted to be opening an office here in Ripley where local people can pop in with any issues or questions.

“People are telling me that things are getting harder not easier, yet the Tories put a privileged few before hardworking families. We know that this election will be really close, but it’s an opportunity for people here to have their say on who runs the country.

“Only Labour can make Britain better off and will put hard-working families first with a plan to tackle the cost of living crisis and earn our way to higher living standards for all.”
