County Council Elections 2017

Our Labour county councillors from right across the region have worked extremely hard over the last four years, at a time of deep cuts to local government, to protect vital services for local people here in the East Midlands.

We know that it’s only Labour councils that can stand up for local people - that it’s only Labour councils protecting our local services; defending our local NHS and fighting for fairness for everyone.

Over the last few months our county council candidates and campaigners from right across the East Midlands have been campaigning extremely hard ahead of this year’s May’s elections. Come rain or shine, they’ve been out talking to local people and highlighting the devastating impacts of the Tory Government’s failed policies and the effects the cuts have had on our local communities and services in the East Midlands.

Here in the East Midlands we're campaigning in all our counties: Derbyshire; Leicestershire; Lincolnshire; Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. These elections will be vitally important for Labour here in the East Midlands.
